Team EnergyVision
We are family
Wherever in the world we are and however fast we grow, EnergyVision remains a close-knit family. Our people in China, Morocco and Belgium.
The EnergyVision family has continued to grow at a rapid pace. In Belgium, 61 new team members joined our family, bringing our total international workforce at the end of 2023 to 237 employees. This was no mean feat, given the tight labour market. A challenge for our HR team, certainly, but one they rose to with a smart recruitment strategy, as well as the right partners.
The best stories from this year come from our ex-colleagues Niké and Anris. Having gone away for a short while, they soon realised that EnergyVision was the best place for them, so were welcomed back into the fold. The grass is not always greener, and neither is the energy, for that matter!
2023 was also a year in which we strengthened international ties. In July, the entire China team came to Belgium for a week, their visit coinciding (by design)with the Ghent Festivities. Several members of the Belgium team also visited our teams in Morocco and China.
No matter where we are in the world, at EnergyVision, we are one big happy family.
FUN FACT Even outside of work, the EnergyVision family keeps growing. For the team in Belgium, 2023 was a year full of new beginnings, with the arrival of no fewer than 10 new babies. Three excom baby boys made for some tired faces during those Monday morning excom meetings.
In the face of suffering in the world, our colleagues in China and Morocco showed their solidarity. As we already mentioned, following the devastating earthquake in Morocco, our colleagues pitched in to help in the affected areas with emergency solar panels. Then in Tianjin (China), a mass evacuation took place after severe weather hit the area. General Manager Zhang Bing took the initiative to provide supplies to aid workers on the ground and lend a helping hand.
FUN FACT In Morocco, our admin team completed a one-week move to a new office building in Casablanca. In Belgium, our purchasing team also demonstrated their flexibility by moving to an entirely new warehouse in only ten days.
In 2023, we organised a lot of team activities and had plenty of team meetings, including the EV café. Outside of working hours, we regularly met up to build our team spirit, with activities including sheep herding, escape rooms, even giving our all during high-speed go-karting. In summer, our work weeks would even end with spontaneous summer barbecues.
One highlight was definitely our team weekend in Durbuy, where fun and adventure took centre stage as we laid the foundations for further growth in 2024.
FUN FACT At our annual family day, the entertainment committee treated us to a live performance from rising star Berre.
Not only do we invest in countless projects and thousands of customers, we also invest in our staff, providing them with support, both physical and mental. We have introduced workshops to learn how to manage stress and sleep. Alongside the CrossCup, we actively took part in several running events in Brussels and Ghent.
To ensure that our people be the best version of themselves every single day, 2023 saw us organise 264 training courses, totalling 2,372 hours of learning.
FUN FACT In terms of mobility, our goal is to switch our entire fleet to electric vehicles as soon as possible. To date, 51 of our 72 vehicles in Belgium are EVs, with that figure rising every week.
We can look back on an action-packed year. 2024 will no doubt bring more of the same: more great shared moments, more energy to do our best every day, more learning and more fun! Spoiler alert: we will all be celebrating our 10-year anniversary together in Morocco...
Ready for the future!

The EnergyVision CrossCup
Running through the mud with EnergyVision
Calling all athletes! You have probably already seen the EnergyVision CrossCup. This cross-country running competition has been in existence for 40 years. It is a breeding ground for Belgian talent and the foundation of long-distance running. The runners crossed from Berlare to Brussels, from Diest to Hannut and through the mud in Roeselare. EnergyVision is the title sponsor of the CrossCup. We upped the prize money for the youth category, because young talent needs to be encouraged and given every chance to grow.
The founders of EnergyVision are passionate about sports. With several ex-athletes among us, we even count some former CrossCup winners ourselves. We are very proud to be able to lend our support to the CrossCup and plan to continue doing so for many years to come!
